You and your family and/or friends (Adults, Children, and Youth) are invited to a Special 20th Anniversary 9/11 Day Memorial Event called “1st Annual 9/11 Flag of Honor Across America Memorials” on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at The NonProfit Center in the Courtyard beginning precisely at 8:46:40 am EST, as this is when Flight 11 from Boston Logan Airport crashed into the north face of the North Tower (1 WTC) of the World Trade Center, between floors 93 and 99 on September 11, 2001.  This was followed by Flight 175 from Boston crashing into the South Tower at 9:02:57 am EST; Flight 77 crashing into the Pentagon at 9:37:46 am EST; and Flight 93 crashing into a field at 10:03:11 am EST.

The Event is Co-Hosted by Global Youth Justice, Inc., who is the Federal Agency AmeriCorps’s 9/11 Day of National Service Partner and new Federal National 9/11 Day Grantee for three (3) years, beginning in 2021, with the 20th Anniversary of September 11th, and The NonProfit Center, which is Boston’s Home for Progressive Social Change, and home to more than 50 NonProfits, including the headquarters for Global Youth Justice, Inc.  The 1st Annual 9/11 Flag of Honor Across America Memorials on September 11, 2021, is 1 of 10 9/11 Day Projects being led by Global Youth Justice, Inc. and AmeriCorps, and is the largest Nationally Coordinated 9/11 Day Project since 2001.

The 1st Annual 9/11 Flag of Honor Across America Memorials on September 11, 2021 will take place in 60 communities in 24 states, and each of the 60 communities will Remember and Never Forget 50 of the 2,983 women, men, and children, killed on 9/11/2001 (2,977) and the WTC bombing on 2/26/1993 (6).  Each of the 50 victims will have their name read, where they are remembered at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum (North Pool or South Pool), number of the panel where their name is memorialized on a bronze panel, where they were born, where they died, and worked.

Those adults and youth interested in attending and participating, should arrive at The NonProfit Center on Saturday, September 11, 2021, not later than fifteen (15) minutes before 8:46:40 am EST, and there will be a table in the lobby, and each person will be provided a one page short bio for each 9/11 Day Victim we are remembering, and we will assemble in the Courtyard, and read each name, after raising the 9/11 Flag of Honor, which includes all 2,983 names of those lost that Tragic Day.

Because Boston is the furthest Northeast Site, among the 60 different Locations in America, we will be launching the 1st 9/11 Flag of Honor Across America Memorial on September 11th, 2021, and beginning the 9/11 Flag of Honor Ceremony when the first attack on America took place that day.  After we begin, the other 59 9/11 Flag of Honor Ceremonies will take place in other states to include New York, California, Illinois, Idaho, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, New Mexico, Florida, Missouri, Massachusetts, West Virginia, Arizona, Wisconsin, Montana, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Louisiana, Colorado, South Dakota, Virginia, Ohio, and Georgia.

If anyone has any friends and/or family injured, killed, heroes, and/or first responders from 9/11/2001, and you would like to remember them in the 9/11 Flag of Honor Across America, we honored to include them, so just let us know.  Prior to the Remembrance of the 50 names, there will be short opening and closing remarks, and we will conclude with anyone who wants to participate in a group photo, as each of the 60 Sites are documenting the 1st 9/11 Flag of Honor Across America Memorials.

Global Youth Justice, Inc. champions the expansion of youth justice and juvenile justice diversion programs called Youth/Teen/Peer/Student Court and Peer Jury.  Historic numbers of Justice Volunteers, including youth and adults -- make it possible for 2,000+ communities on 5 continents to give their youth a 2nd, and even 3rd chance for committing minor crimes, offenses and violations.  The Global Youth Justice Movement is a text-book example of a local grass-roots volunteer-driven "scaleable model" to strengthen juvenile justice, youth justice and criminal justice systems around the globe.
