Description:  During this three (3) day training institute, individuals and teams of 2-5 adult participants will learn strategies and tips for Establishing, Enhance and Learn about Volunteer-Driven Teen Court, Student Court, Youth Court, Peer Court and Peer Jury diversion programs, which are now the World's Most Replicated Youth Justice and Juvenile Justice Diversion Programs.  Approximately half of the participants at Global Youth Justice Trainings are individuals, and the other half are teams of adults.  Participants are Adults primarily from Police Departments, Probation Departments, Schools, Nonprofits, Bar Associations, District Attorney Offices, Youth Bureau's, Law Schools, Youth Justice Professionals, Juvenile Justice Professionals, Public Defender Offices, Juvenile Courts, Child Welfare Agencies, Researchers, Social Entrepreneurs, Volunteer Organizations, Independent Consultants, Government Agencies, Partner Agencies and Organizations, and other individuals interested in these Volunteer-Driven Youth Justice and Juvenile Justice Diversion Programs.  Current, former and retired adults working in these programs are eligible to attend, as are adults interested in establishing and/or learning more about these rapidly expanding volunteer-driven diversion programs, which are now the World's Most Replicated Youth Justice and Juvenile Justice Diversion Program.

Training Sessions:  Approximately twenty (20) training sessions will be conducted by adult participants and staff who volunteer to make 30-60 minute presentations on a wide range of tops to include:  Training adult and youth volunteers; offering quality community service programs and services; mock family intake meetings; implementing operational and administrative procedures; types of juvenile crimes and offenses eligible for referral and disposition; identifying funding and resources; legal and liability issues; partnerships with MOU’s; program evaluation and satisfaction; juvenile referral sources; crimes, offenses and violations referred; implementation and enhancement of programmatic elements; and daily, weekly, monthly and yearly tasks.  Ten (10) sessions will focus on the primary programmatic, administrative and operational aspects of these programs, which will allow participants to Establish, Enhance and Expand one of these diversion programs.

This training institute will include presenters from a wide range of settings to include education settings, law enforcement, legal community, non-profit sector, courts, civic organizations, foundations and other related settings.  The Honorable Arthur L. Burnett, Sr. will serve as the keynote speaker.

On page 2 of the Registration Form below, there is a section to volunteer to be a presenter for the 17th Global Youth Justice Training in Provincetown, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, USA.  Approximately 20+ adults will be selected, and if you are interested in presenting, we are glad to have you make a 30-45 minute presentation.  If you need approval to be a presenter before you are able to attend, please call us at 202.468.3790 and we are glad to write a formal approval letter to you on Global Youth Justice letterhead.

  

Resort Room Rates

Low Resort Room Rates between Sunday, September 24, 2017 and Thursday, September 28, 2017 are only $89+ Tax ($101.06) for Standard Rooms and $109+ Tax ($123.40) for Oceanview Rooms.  These rates are $40.00 less per night, than rates available to the public.  Discounted rates are also available before and after the training on the weekend, for participants wanting to extend their stay, as about 80% of participants take advantage of these low rates.  These low rates for Friday and Saturday nights before and after the training are only $119+ tax for a Standard Room and $139+ tax for an Oceanview Room.  Please Note – if you stay 5 nights or more, there is an additional $15.00 off discount on every resort room night you are at the resort, so these low rates are even less expensive.  Registration is fairly on a 1st come 1st served basis.  Once participants are registered, paid and approved, they will be provided with the booking code, required to secure these low rates.  Global Youth Justice Trainings are affordable, as they are subsidized, as a result of many volunteers organizing these trainings.  Please make sure to read the eligibility criteria, before registering.

 

Registration Fee

The low $195 registration fee also includes 3+ breakfast buffets, 3 lunch buffets, 3 afternoon snack/beverage breaks, 3 days of training, and training materials.  If you need the W-9 for Global Youth Justice, Inc., click on W-9 Important:  If you need pre-approval to attend the Global Youth Justice Training before mailing in your registration form and/or paying the registration fee, please email Scott.Peterson@GlobalYouthJustice.org and/or call 202.468.3790, as we are glad to help out.  Participants have the option of mailing in the registration form with a check or money order, or you can email the registration form to Global Youth Justice and request a PayPal, so you can utilize a Debit or Credit Card. Step #1         Read training information on the Global Youth Justice Website.

 

Step #2         Complete the short 2-page registration form and Mail to: Global Youth Justice, P.O. Box 1829, Provincetown, MA 02657 with a check/money order for the $195 registration fee per made payable to: Global Youth Justice, Inc.  We can also send you an PayPal invoice allowing participants to use Credit and Debit Cards.  Please email Global Youth Justice at Scott.Peterson@GlobalYouthJustice.org the registration forms and request a PayPal Invoice, which allows debit and credit cards for paying registration fees.  You can also call us at 202-468-3790.

Step #3         Once the registration form and registration fee is received by Global Youth Justice, Inc., you will be contacted by email and regular mail within 5 days or less and you will receive the “Contract Code” to call and make your room reservations at the Provincetown Inn Oceanfront Resort and Conference Center, which will allow you to get the low nightly rates in our contract.  Helpful Tip:  If you are mailing the registration materials, and need or want approval prior to Global Youth Justice receiving the registration form and registration fee, please call us at 202-468-3790, as we can pre-approve you, and provide you with the booking code for our low contractual rates at the hotel, so you can make hotel, airfare and other travel arrangements.  Making airfare reservations sooner, often results in lower rates.
